Belfast-based Textflow has invested 500,000 in three new Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 presses to meet a rise in demand for black-and-white print-on-demand work.
And the firm is also looking at the NexPress colour digital press, although operations director Craig Jamison said any decision would depend on when the machine becomes available.
Textflow has looked at the Xerox DocuColor 2060 too, but Jamison said the NexPress remained the "better alternative".
He predicted that the firm would double its 1.5m turnover within two years.
The firm installed the Digimasters to replace two Xerox DocuTechs. It does work for local government and educational institutions, including Queens University.
Textflow also offers document management, archiving and e-commerce services.
