Target wins charity account

Target Direct Print has scooped up two charity contracts covering high-volume direct mail campaigns.

The Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) and Ethiopiaid have handed deals to print management firm Target Direct, which has other charity clients including The Salvation Army and Marie Curie Cancer Care. The new contracts will cover production of over 5.5m items in total.

"We had previously purchased our direct marketing print on a job by job basis from a range of suppliers, including Target Direct," said RNIB direct marketing manager Yogi Kong. "But Target demonstrated that we can achieve greater cost savings by working on a contractual basis."

In July this year, Target Direct Print clinched the contract to manage the British Heart Foundation's direct mail print (PrintWeek, 1 July).
