Stikit targets 20% turnover boost

Stikit Labels is aiming for a 20% increase in turnover by the end of the year, following a sustained period of growth at the company.

The Wolverhampton-based label printer, which underwent a management buyout at the beginning of this year, has also updated its press battery by investing in an Omega 410 plain label press.

The six-staff printer is anticipating the new machine will make it more competitive by allowing it to produce wider label jobs, as well as increase productivity levels.

Stikit Labels' investment comes off the back of month-on-month sales growth at the printer, from both new and existing clients.

Stuart Chapman, sales director at Stikit Labels, said: "It's still early days, but business has been good and we're now aiming to be more competitive with our new press."

The company has been successful in securing past clients of the previous Wolverhampton Labels business in addition to sealing a new trade contract in July.

Chapman added: "Sales have increased throughout the year to a level where we're hoping for turnover to have increased by 20% come the end of year."

The new incarnation of Stikit Labels was founded in January of this year, following a management buyout by sales director Stuart Chapman and production director Louise Hough.

The Omega 410 joins a kit set up that includes an Arsoma six-colour flexo press and an Omega 310 plain label press.
