A mailing tender worth £1.3m is the biggest industry tender currently live, with a major signage manufacture framework also active.

Newcastle City Council is seeking to appoint a provider of postal services to print and mail its outgoing hard copy correspondence.

This outgoing mail will be the council’s bulk mailings (council tax demands, business rates, parking, and other FPNs etc), and hybrid mail (low run or individual letters sent by individual officers).

“The provider should be able to accept files for printing and mailing to provide printed material, direct/bulk and hybrid mail,” the council stated.

Worth £1.3m, the tender will close at 12pm on 14 April 2023, with the contract due to start on 1 July 2023 and end on 30 June 2025.

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, meanwhile, is looking to contract a manufacturing partner to provide goods and services relating to interpretation and exhibition materials for its sites at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst.

“Those goods and services include producing technical drawings, providing engineering assessments, manufacturing, printing and installing at our sites,” it stated.

Worth £600,000, the tender will close at 10am on 20 April 2023. The contract is due to start on 3 July 2023 and end on 2 March 2027.
