Seriously Responsible Print launches with green manifesto

A Norwich print firm has launched promising to operate in an environmentally friendly way, and donate a portion of profits and time to local community projects.

Seriously Responsible Print has been set up to print brochures, booklets, flyers, newsletters, business stationery and other items. It is run by Christina and Paul Youngs, a husband and wife team.

The company runs a Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro C6500e digital press, and uses Simitri digital toner. Paper stock is FSC certified or recycled, and Seriously Responsible Print promises that its local delivery team go by foot or bicycle and are carbon neutral. Longer-distance deliveries will be undertaken by courier firms committed to reducing their carbon footprints.

10% of profits will be donated to charities, and the company plans to help out on projects in areas such as education and homelessness.

Christina Youngs said she was inspired to set up the business after sitting on the board for a local children’s charity called The Olive Tree.

I thought ‘wouldn’t it be great if could run a business that could help support a charity like that’, she said.
