On his departure he paid tribute to the late Trevor Reynolds, former co-owner of Senator, who died last year.
"Part of my zest for the industry died with him," said Billett, who is set to train as a lay preacher. But he added that with Senator now under the leadership of Scorpio the firm had taken great steps towards future expansion.
Senator's Billett to retire
David Billett, managing director and former owner of Senator Print Finishers, is to retire at the end of this month after 48 years in the industry.
