Ruchira Printing and Packaging invests to drive growth, ups target to Rs 40-crore for this year

In Kala Amb, the new industrial area, which falls in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh in a sprawling 100-acre campus of one of the fastest growing companies in the print and packaging sector.

Merging business acumen and capital with talent, Ruchira Printing and Packaging company, a group company of Ruchira Group has recently invested in finishing equipment and has grabbed one of the hottest growth figures in the printing and packaging area. And capital investment is likely to be a blueprint for the future for this print packager.

"Yes, we have achieved a 40% growth and a turnover of Rs 23-crore last year and are targeting to up the turnover to Rs 40-crore mark during this year," said Luck Garg, one of the directors at Ruchira Group.

Besides printing and packaging, the group is engaged in the business of paper manufacturing, corrugation and hospitality.

"Right now our main concerns are strengthening our machinery and reducing manual operations. Printing is a service industry and if we have to compete, we need to deliver on time and for that we need technology," he said.

The print production site is equipped with multicolour presses from Planeta and Roland with online UV. The in-house plate making facility fires 1,000 TechNova and Kodak plates per month, while the in-house ink kitchen from Seigwek supplies inks to the presses. Finishing arena is equipped with the new folder gluers from Bobst (Ambition) and Acme. Esko Artwork’s softwares are used for designing and planning.

"There is a huge gap between the demand for duplex board and supply position in North India. We are well positioned to be a key players," said Garg. "We hope to be one of the top packaging companies in North India in the next five years."
