The company announced last month that around 58 jobs at its Nottingham and Leeds facilities were under threat. However, union Unite put forward a plan that it said would see a number of changes to employees' working situation, but could reduce redundancies.
PrintWeek understands that the deal was not overwhelmingly welcomed by Unite members, while the company still has questions over the cost savings it would introduce.
The next meeting to discuss the plans is now scheduled for Wednesday (11 August), at which it is hoped a plan can be finalised.
Unite national officer Steve Sibbald said: "We are pretty confident that we can come to an agreement on Wednesday and put this all to bed. We are trying to design a package that will please everyone."
