Printing-market.com in Drupa launch

Site will offer translations between European languages

The explosion in print-related dotcoms continues to gain momentum. However, according to Kaj Bornebusch, chairman of printing-market.com, his Swedish-based service offers that little bit more.
"Most of the printing services sites are quite rudimentary," said Bornebusch. "But with printing-market.com not only can you specify exactly what sort of product youre after, you can also log the request in one language and potential printers will be able to view it translated into theirs."
The site, to be launched at Drupa, will initially offers translations between Swedish, Danish, Italian, Spanish, German, English and French. Polish and Finnish will be added later.
Also, unlike other sites, printing-market.com will put customers and printers in direct contact rather than acting as a third party.
Print buyers interested in the service remotely log their job requirements which can be viewed free of charge by printers. However, contact details are only made available when a 10 job-by-job fee is paid.
Alternatively, printers will be able to subscribe to receive all details of specified job types by region or language.
"The site will make international working an affordable reality," said Bornebusch. "Think how much cheaper this service is than putting a rep on the road."
