Polestar has paid Goddard Bindery Group for an outstanding 8,000 invoice issued in October.
The Slough-based bindery was forced to issue a writ in early January to recover money it was owed by Polestar East Kilbride for a one-off rush job.
Owner Terry Goddard said behaviour like that of Polestar had forced many small finishers to the wall in the past.
And he said he had picked up work from other print groups who had commended him for taking a stand against Polestar.
A writ was issued on 4 January on behalf of Goddard Bindery Group to recover almost 35,000 (PrintWeek, 26 January).
This followed a conversation Goddard had with Polestar when he was told it did not know when he would be paid.
Goddard then received payments of 22,036 and 3,768 for September invoices but was left waiting for the outstanding 8,072.
At the time, Polestar said it believed that a large chunk of the money was not due to be paid under its standard 90 day payment terms.
