Polestar Petty lands green scheme double

Polestar Petty has become the third site within the Polestar group to achieve Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody certification and the second to gain Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Managing director at Petty Chris Bowen said: “The number of customers wishing for their products to be printed on FSC or PEFC paper is increasing as they become more aware of the need to protect the environment. This accreditation enables Polestar Petty to meet these requirements.”

The news follows fellow Leeds-based company Polestar Direct securing both FSC and PEFC accreditation in December 2006. Polestar Sheffield achieved FSC status in January.

One of the site’s clients, David Halford, BBC Magazines procurement and deputy production director, said: “It reflects the support the company has given our environmental policy for a number of years.”
