PMC launches new ISO 12647 training course

Print and Media Certification (PMC) has launched a one day generic training course to serve as an introduction to the BPIF ISO 12647-2 certification scheme.

PMC director Jon Stack, who will be the course tutor, said: "We've developed this course specifically to help organisations understand the requirements and the process of audit and certification.

"There are a number of myths surrounding the certification and the scheme's requirements, which this course seeks to dispel; this will give organisations the confidence to implement the systems they need to deliver the really significant gains in quality that this scheme brings.

"It is ideal for those seeking certification, colour champions, internal auditors and consultants and others working on meeting the BPIF's requirements."

The PMC course, which will be run quarterly, or on demand, at a variety of locations, covers the principals behind the BPIF ISO 12647-2 scheme, understanding the colour quality system requirements, and what the audit product test looks for and how it works.

Other facets of the scheme covered by the course include group exercises on specific colour quality system requirements, the key areas of the audit process, obtaining and maintaining certification, internal auditing principles and requirements of ISO 12647-2, and internal auditing skills.

Prices are £295 plus VAT per delegate and £250 plus VAT for any subsequent delegates from the same organisation. The price for an in-company course on the company's premises is £950 plus VAT. Discounts are available for members of BPIF, IPIA, EFIA, FESPA and IPPSA.
