Platinum Print invests in Perfecta 92HTV guillotine

Platinum Print has invested in a Perfecta 92HTV guillotine supplied by Graphic Arts Equipment.

The Harrogate-based commercial printer decided said it chose the new guillotine due to its advanced automation and because it was "competitively priced".

Production director Mark Plummer said: "We had purchased a Schneider at an in-plant auction, but had to consider all the options when it became clear the 15-year old machine needed replacing.

"The level of automation we got for a very attractive price was an opportunity that was too good to miss."

The 76 HTV features a 10in colour touchscreen menu and has the ability to store up to 6,000 cut positions within 250 programs.

Platinum Print, which employs 25 staff, also runs a four-colour B2 Komori Spica and a five-colour Komori Lithrone.
