Pixart.it to offer envelope printing as part of digital offering

Pixart.it has moved into envelope printing after developing a new production line centred around its HP Indigo 7000 digital press.

The Italianweb-based printer will roll out the service, which can handle runs from 10 up to 100,000, to all European customers from May.

The company is pitching the offering at customers that want small mail shots promoting new products to those demanding higher volumes.

In order to use the service, customers supply a graphic file complete with mailing lists to Pixart.it.

They can then choose between two Fedrigoni envelope stocks, Century paper and Splendor Gel paper. The product is then finished on the company’s Pteratto Metro 78 fold-and-glue system.

The envelopes are digitally printed, personalised and returned to the customer within 24-48 hours.

Matteo Rigamonti, founder and director of Pixart.it, said its dedicated digital print production line provided "a comprehensive on-demand high- or low-run envelope-printing service, complete with a strong variable data option".

"This is yet another service that places Pixart.it right at the side of printers, graphic designers and companies who want to further open up their creative printing options," he added.
