Pitney Bowes expands global presence with London mail facility

Mailstream technology company Pitney Bowes has opened an international mail services facility on the outskirts of London.

The 3160sqm site, which will provide international mail and package solutions to Pitney Bowes customers around the globe, is located at Waterway Business Park, Swallowfield Way, Hayes.

US-owned Pitney Bowes said the facility has a capacity to process 27,200kg of mail, marketing material, publications and parcels each day. It will initially employ approximately 55 staff.

John Ward, president of mail services at Pitney Bowes, said: "Our new facility in the UK will offer opportunities for mailers to increase the effectiveness of their mailings while reducing postage costs.

"In addition, the close proximity of our Hayes site to London Heathrow Airport will enable Pitney Bowes to help expedite customers' mailings around the world."
