Future, which produces over 50 monthly titles including Official Playstation 2 and Manchester United, hopes to gain better control over its paper buying with Perfecteds paper management software.
Ian Linkins, Futures commercial director, said the firm had previously used Excel spreadsheets to monitor its paper use, but the system had been unable to report on and control paper consumption.
The Perfected Solutions software has been developed over a number of years by Brian Whittaker, who formed Perfected Solutions in the early 1980s.
Chris Palmer, a partner of Publishing Paper Solutions, said the software brought a level of control to managing paper that would be difficult to achieve using disparate systems.
The firm will develop the system for online use and is monitoring the progress of the PapiNet standard.
