Perfect binder purchase brings in immediate business for Creative

Commercial printer Creative Print has moved into perfect binding after installing a BQ470 from Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS).

The litho and digital business has also upgraded its folding with the addition of a Horizon AFC-566AF.

Managing director of the Leeds-based company Delroy Goodison said: "More and more customers were asking about perfect binding.

"We expected it to take some time to build up this side of the business and were not prepared for how many of our existing customers would request perfect binding from the off. We are already very busy, which is a great sign."

The four-clamp BQ470 system can bind books up to 65mm thick at up to 1,350 cycles per hour and features a  colour touchscreen.

Creative Print’s folder runs at 40,000sph and has a 200-job on-board memory store and 17 fold pattern pre-selection program.

The company was formed in 1990 and works with local and national businesses, schools, art galleries and  non-profit agencies.
