PCP promotes Evans as MD to follow Liggins

Precision Colour Printing (PCP) has appointed Alex Evans as managing director, following the retirement of Paul Liggins.

Evans will take over the reins at the Telford-based printer with effect from 1 July.

Prior to joining PCP as a sales executive in 1985, Evans initially worked for the Express & Star newspaper in Wolverhampton, part of PCP's parent group, the Midland News Association.

He was appointed to the board as sales director and became deputy managing director at the beginning of this year.

Liggins joined PCP 23 years ago, and has been primarily responsible for establishing the company as a major specialist colour print provider to the UK newspaper industry.

He will continue with the business as a non-executive director.
