Overmatter: best foot first

As Overmatter observed in our previous issue, there are some very stylish folk out there in the printing industry.

Further evidence has since been forthcoming, this time of a footwear nature. While hobnobbing with the great and the good of the packaging industry at Heidelberg’s recent event in Germany, Overmatter’s attention was caught by a nattily attired Brit with some standout ones and twos.

Step forward, quite literally, Jim Todd of Heidelberg UK, who dazzled in his dapper Jeffery West wingtips, complete with red leather lining and pink laces. Or should that be magenta.

A glance at the Jeffery West website reveals a veritable cornucopia of delights for lovers of fine footwear, including, wait for it, some PRINTED designs such as this low-key Sylvian ‘Stud’ Chelsea Boot with “unique NYPD Mugshots” printed leather. Or perhaps the Nightporter triple-buckle Monk, with tattoo-inspired print.

Surely either would be the perfect Christmas gift for Jim, no? Having said that, at six-foot something or other he’s hardly going to benefit from a Cuban heel. So perhaps not.
