The UK agent Friedheim International fitted the single-sided B1 thermal Tauler Printlam 75 CTI (pictured) at the 11-staff trade house last Monday.

"I've got a good feeling for it, they don't always come off, but I think this one will," said One Stop Folders managing director Ian Harrison, who bought the company last July.

One Stop specialises in the manufacture of capacity and non-capacity folders, perfect-bound covers and envelopes.

The 36,000 investment in kit at the firm's factory in Denton, Manchester came  about after the production supervisor, Tracey Cooper, and the general manager, Phillip Clegg, saw the Tauler in action at Workshop 05.

Friedheim launched the range of laminators at Northprint last April and has sold three models.

In recent months, the firm has also begun to offer matt, gloss and Hi-tack laminating films to support the range.

"It's something we wanted to get into to... and we aim to be cheaper," said post press division national sales manager Stuart Bamford.
