The Harrow-based company installed the machine over larger-format alternatives because it was deemed more cost-effective.

Production manager Anya Meoamiuk said: "We needed a machine for laminating and we looked at a huge-volume laminator, but it would have been a huge investment. We wanted something that produced a lot, but was better value."

Allstar Services handles an array of commercial print for companies across the UK and employs 16 staff.

The PrintLam Smart 52 can handle sheets from 150x200mm to 520x720mm and from 110-140gsm. Its maximum speed is 15m/min.
