Oc unveils entry-level mono VarioStream 7120

Oc has launched a new entry-level mono continuous feed print engine designed for the production of short- to medium- run transactional print runs.

The VarioStream 7120 is a simplex print system that the manufacturer is targeting at both corporate and commercial print houses.

Océ is also pitching the VarioStream at printers producing direct mail and claimed the machine is suited for time-sensitive jobs requiring a fast turnaround.

The Dutch manufacturer's latest 7120 model can print at speeds up to 114ppm in A4 2-up simplex mode or 121ppm letter size in 2-up simplex operation.

It also features non-contact flash-fusing technology, which can process a raft of applications such as labels, plastics and foils, Océ claimed.

Offering print resolutions up to 600dpi, the 7120 is also capable of printing graphics and barcodes that often feature in transactional documents.

With the Océ VarioStream 7120 set for a UK launch in the second quarter of this year, the manufacturer has also revealed that a more productive version, the 7160, will be available later in 2010.

The VarioStream 7160 will offer print speeds of up to 150ppm in A4 2-up simplex mode or 159ppm letter size in 2-up simplex operation.
