Norprint brings equipment and labels together

Norprint has merged its labelling systems and equipment division in a bid to avoid confusion in the market place.

The equipment division will be part of Norprint Labelling Systems and the move is likely to lead to an increase in sales staff next year.

"Before customers did not appreciate our full offer and this move allows them total access to our full portfolio," said Norprint sales director Stuart Brown. "We are now trying to simplify what we can do for the customer."

Apart from the production of labels, the Boston-based group also sells machines, software and ribbons. It distributes kit including thermal printers from Toshiba TEC and Sato.

This year Norprint posted improved 2004 results with pre-tax profits of 175,000 (PrintWeek, 19 August).
