New NEC screen for colour work

NEC has launched the SpectraView 231, a 23inch IPS LCD monitor designed for 'colour-critical users'handling digital photo editing, colour workflow and video processing.

The monitor features a 14-bit LUT for colour control and a 3D LUT for colour-space reproduction. It is equipped with a high-end IPS panel and, according to NEC, covers 75% of Adobe’s RGB colour space with a resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels.

The monitor features Digital Uniformity Control, which automatically controls colour distribution to help create a balanced picture.

Christopher Parker, product line manager for professional displays at NEC Display Solutions, said: "We’re offering a high-end colour-critical display at an unbeatable low price."
