New faces at Computershare

Computershare Document Services in Bristol has bolstered its sales team and opened a new 900,000 print site as it aims to double its turnover to 20m in a year.

The 5,000m2 plant, based in the south-west of the city, houses two Xerox DocuPrint 180 printers, and will increase the firm's capacity by a quarter.

It has recruited Andrew Law from MPG Books in Cornwall to the newly created position of divisional sales and marketing manager. Jane Andrews has become registry sales manager, while Craig Springmore has joined as commercial sales manager.

Head of operations Brian Jannetta said that the expansion would "manage organic growth of the business", and would be achieved by "making efficiencies" as well as investment.

Computershare already has three DocuPrint 180s in its main Bridgwater Road plant. Jannetta said that the printers provided "extremely reliable and good quality output."

Two Pitney Bowes FX10 enclosing lines have also been installed, giving the company the capacity to handle up to 12 separate inserts in a mail pack.

Following the opening of the new factory, the firm plans to strengthen its 120-strong staff "significantly, and in all areas".
