A new event organised by Esko, in association with several other companies, will bring together packaging producers, suppliers, and technology developers in June to discuss the future of the label and packaging supply chain.

The first Packaging & Label Forum, which will take place from 7-8 June at Holywell Park, Loughborough, will give visitors the opportunity to network with suppliers from across the industry, participate in open mic sessions, share and learn tips and tricks, receive expert technical advice, and hear from industry leaders and keynote speakers.

The event will include presentations and speakers from companies including HP, CERM, DuPont, Asahi, GMG, and AV Flexographic among others.

“This one-of-a-kind, multi-zone event will feature discussions on the topics that are top of the agenda for businesses in 2023,” said Esko regional business director James Mason.

“We’ll take an in-depth look at everything from how market dynamics are fuelling the need for operational efficiency through to how automation and lean manufacturing are helping drive efficiency and sustainability.”

He added: “With the support of our global partners, we’ve prepared a packed agenda of discussions and demonstrations that will address the challenges the industry faces today, while looking to the future.

“For example we’ll examine the findings of FIAUK research into key market insights of the flexographic industry operating in the UK, while our friends at Ecoveritas will unpack the future of UK packaging policy.

“From labels and folding cartons to corrugated and flexibles, this gathering will bring together experts and professionals from all segments of the packaging industry.

“We’ll also take a deep dive look at our latest software release, specifically developed to enable businesses to unlock even more tangible value through improving ways of working, eradicating waste and optimising operational processes.”

Registration for the two-day event is free, with complimentary lunch and coffee. On the evening of 7 June, subject to availability, there will also be a complimentary buffet dinner and live band entertainment. A maximum of two representatives per company are permitted to attend.
