The former joint managing director of Litho Supplies, whose departure this August rocked the industry, is joining office imaging firm Danwood Group as director of its new Graphics and Production Systems division on 4 January.
He will work with Danwood to put the product range and people in place to launch the division at Northprint where the firm is taking a 100m2 stand.
"I contemplated retirement, but two weeks at home convinced me I didn't want to retire and I wanted to be back in the thick of it, selling," said Mulvaney.
Danwood managing director Colin Daniels said: "I have known Gerry for many years. When he left Litho Supplies I was very keen to get him to join us and head up our new division."
Mulvaney said he was touched by the number of offers he received and had carefully weighed up his options.
