Morgana rolls out Foldnak Compact to increase flexibility

Morgana has once again increased its range of finishing products with a Foldnak Compact bookletmaker/trimmer from Ernst Nagel.

The machine combines the functions of bookletmaking and trimming in a single small-footprint unit.

Morgana's believes it is the ideal unit for a digital or litho printer because of its short set-up times, meaning greater speed and flexibility in booklet production.

The Compact handles a wide range of formats, from 105x210mm to A3 plus, and offers stapling positions at 80, 180 and 240mm centres.

It also incorporates Nagel's 'Power Clenching' mechanism. As well as trimming the fore-edge of the sheet, the integral trimmer also compresses the spine.

The Compact can produce both standard and looped stitches and will accept up to four stitch/staple heads.

Morgana said this is particularly useful for printers who want to produce loop-finished booklets to be inserted into ring binders.
