MBA appoints former Adare director

MBA-Group has recruited a former Adare SEC director to spearhead growth in digital technology and wider communication services.

Martyn Viquerat joined the company's Warrington office as new business sales director last Tuesday, 8 May, following three “months of gardening leave” after quitting his sales director post at Adare, he said.

Key to his job at the circa-£40m turnover direct marketing and transactional communications firm is building a transactional bid team in support of continued investment in digital technology and wider communication services.

“We want to build a team focusing purely on delivering transactional solutions and services,” said Viquerat. “It's like a break-out unit and will target new customers as well as focus on existing ones.

“My personal challenge is to generate extra volumes and clients at the Warrington site. I think there are still a number of players that need to consider outsourcing a full range of services.”

Of his recent departure from Adare, he said he did not expect to leave at that time, but it was absolutely essential for companies to understand their staff, suppliers, technology and competitors.

“It was like that when I joined Adare, but I'm not so sure it was when I left,” he added listing a numerous senior figures who had recently left including chief operating officer Barry Crich.

“I don't know what's going on up there, but I never jump from something, I always jump to something, and when I met the people from MBA I knew this was something I wanted to do.”

Viquerat has also worked at CDMS/Transactis and RR Donnelly specialising in secured multiple high-value transactional BPO contracts.

The planned growth in Warrington will also provide a broader geographical presence and will reunite him with his previous chief technical officer, Martin Taylor, who joined MBA from Adare 18-months ago.

Viquerat added: “The entrepreneurial leadership together with ground-breaking technology and a genuine focus on customer service were critical factors that made the decision to join an easy one."

MBA Group sales director Kevin Stewart said: “Martyn is an excellent addition in terms of his great experience and expertise in driving sales and delivering new business growth.

“His thorough knowledge and established relationships will quickly help to expand our current service offering to a broader audience.”
