Manroland GB gets ISO 14001 accreditation

Manroland GB has extended its environmental credentials by gaining ISO 14001 certification.

The ISO 14001 standard is awarded to companies that have implemented waste-saving and recycling processes.

Manroland has gained the accreditation by achieving the recycling targets and also by eliminating almost all unnecessary use of electric lighting and air-conditioning across the business.

Norman Revill, managing director of manroland GB, said: "As well as its clear benefits to the environment, I think it's an important tool for helping to focus the industry on the issues at hand.

"We mustn't be complacent or ignore the responsibility we as an industry - and society in general has towards the environment.

"In line with this, achieving the ISO 14001 standard is just the next step for us, and we will continue to seek further improvements throughout the business, building on what we have learned during this process."

The company follows in the footsteps of the likes of Sherwood Press, Southernprint and Alito Color in gaining the accreditation.
