Hawley, who has previously held roles at HP and Xaar, is charged with building upon the company’s printservices maintenance and service offering and extend its reach to Manroland customers.
According to Hawley, Manroland has acknowledged the growing requirement for manufacturer's to provide "the complete solution".
He said: "Manroland recognised this trend early on and the printservices and printcom sides of the Manroland business have flourished over the last couple of years as a result.
"It’s now my job to build on this success and ensure that from a printservices perspective, we are able to extend this offering to all Manroland customers, especially those printers who currently use independent service organisations, but feel they require a more robust or responsive level of service and support."
Manroland printservices division comprises its ProServ maintenance package, which offers modular maintenance support that include regular inspections, safety checks, thermography, machine settings and repairs.
Commenting on the appointment, Norman Revill, managing director of Manroland GB, said Hawley's experience in customer service management would be "invaluable" as the manufacturer aims to build its printservices offering.
"Manroland has ambitious plans for the future and with his many years working on the service side in the digital printing sector, I believe Martin offers us a unique perspective on how we can move printservices forward and maintain our competitive edge," he added.
