Italian web printer Vittorio Farina has ordered four 64pp MAN Lithoman web offset presses MAN Rolands single biggest order at Drupa.
Three of the presses are destined to be installed at the companys Ilte gravure plant in Milan. The fourth is going to Rotoeffe in Rome.
The 64pp presses offer tremendous throughput with high quality, low waste and fast make-ready, said Paul Moon, web division director at PPS. They bring the flexibility of MAN web presses to the long run market. It is likely that we will see the UKs first 64pp press being ordered within the next year.
Cut off for the full automated, fully networked, Pecom-controlled press is 1,190mm, with a web width of 1,905mm. The Lithoman can output three million A4 pages an hour.
