Leeds City College scoops Knowledge and Technology Award

Leeds City College has been recognised with a Knowledge and Technology Exchange Nodes Award for its work with printing companies.

The award, bestowed by the New Engineering Foundation, acknowledges the colleges' activity within print, which involves supporting more than 60 apprentices each year.

The college, which also delivers more than 100 qualifications on an annual basis, has received the award that aims to help create "a more effective framework to encourage innovation".

John Procter, business manager digital communications at Leeds City College Technology Campus, said the award was a "fantastic thing" made all the more important by being one of only 14 colleges to receive an award.

He added: "Obviously we're very proud of it and helped by working with companies such as Polestar and the Centre for Industrial Collaboration."
