KBA appoints Jackson to push consumables sales forward

KBA is targeting an increased presence in the consumables market after appointing Chris Jackson to the role of consumables sales manager.

Jackson is charged with pushing the manufacturer's new Approved Consumables initiative, which is centered around developing relationships with KBA press users and promoting pressroom products to them.

KBA's increased emphasis on its consumables offering is "a natural progression in the current market climate", according to Jackson.

He said: "We can supply anything printers may need, from inks to blankets. Using the right consumable products helps printers enhance their productivity and get the best out of their presses, without jeopardising quality. It is a fine balance."

Jackson takes on the role following positions at BASF sales and as head of the sheetfed sales division at Flint.

He said: "I will be meeting KBA users to build up stronger relationships and, where it will benefit them, introduce them to our approved options.

"Getting it right will improve the quality of the printed product and also result in cost savings - crucial when, at times like this, every penny counts."

KBA's new consumables department is headed up by director of sheetfed service and consumables Andy Pang.
