Jarrold named as non-exec at Synergie Group

Charles Jarrold has joined Synergie Group as a non-executive director.

Jarrold had been managing director at St Ives’ magazine printing business up until its sale to Walstead in April, and continued to work with Walstead-owned Wyndeham Group until the summer. Prior to that he was managing director of Southernprint, which was also acquired by Walstead.

Earlier this year Jarrold set up his own company, Jarrold Media, with the intention of exploring "beyond print" services such as multi-channel media.

He said the Synergie role would dovetail with his existing interests: "I first got to know Terry during my time at Southernprint. He has the complete infrastructure in place at Synergie to do all the things that need to be done in terms of new print services."

Synergie managing director Terry Hannam said: "I'm delighted Charles is joining us and feel very proud that someone of his stature will be associated with the business. I'm very excited about some of the ideas he's got for the future."

Jarrold added: "I can see some interesting business opportunities and I think we can grow the business very significantly."

Synergie operates from five sites and the group’s services span litho and digital printing, packaging, variable data, email marketing, and fulfilment.
