Event set for 29 November

IPIA Expo to offer critical insights to visitors and celebrate industry

A networking lunch is part of the daytime programme

The IPIA has outlined the details and agenda for its Recognising Excellence Expo, Gala Dinner, and Awards, which takes place next month.

The event will take place on 29 November at the Leonardo Hotel and Conference Centre – Hinckley Island in Hinckley, south-west Leicestershire.

The Expo and Business Networking Hub will run from 11am to 3pm, with a pause for a networking lunch and the IPIA chairman’s address.

The IPIA said this will allow attendees to engage with more than 20 industry suppliers and exhibitors at their own pace, create new business connections, explore new partnerships, and take part in a series of interactive experiences.

There is also a competition run by the IPIA, where each attendee collects stamps from the exhibitors they meet. These are then exchanged for entry into prize draws worth up to £450 and a year’s free IPIA Membership.

The day is then followed by the Gala Dinner and Awards night that will celebrate the innovation, achievements, and hard work of industry members.

The evening event will begin with a champagne reception at 7pm and, at 9pm, winners of the Recognising Excellence Awards are announced, followed by a night of live entertainment.

The IPIA’s ‘Stand-up Bingo’ to raise money for The Printing Charity will be held during dinner, and live music from band Happy Hour and dancing will conclude the evening’s proceedings.

Chair of the IPIA’s events subcommittee Matthew Ruff, also sales and marketing director of mail sector specialist Reliance, said: “The wealth of information and education available to attendees during the Expo is very comprehensive – providing them with critical insights into how the latest print and media technology can support their growth or diversification ambitions.

“It is so important to take the time every so often to spend a day working on your business, and not just in it.

“The networking lunch is then a platform for attendees to talk directly to prospective customers – no matter which part of the supply chain they come from – and potentially generate new business and beneficial relationships.

“For those who would like to stay on for the evening festivities – we then have a wonderful programme of amazing food, live entertainment, celebration and the chance to do further high-quality networking.”

Tickets to the Recognising Excellence event start with a daytime pass and lunch at the Expo and Business Networking Hub, rising to a complete package including overnight accommodation and breakfast.
