IPA names KPG soft proofer as best of its sort

Recent tests in the US have placed Kodak Polychrome Graphics Matchprint Virtual soft proofing systems at the top of the list for monitor-based proofing.

In the IPA colour proofing round-up the KPG Matchprint Virtual CRT monitor-based system came first and the LCD-based version came second in comparisons with press sheets and hard copy proofs.

"Monitor proofing improves collaboration and faciliatates faster turnarounds," said KPG business director, virtual proofing Rib Pipe. "The results validate Matchprint Virtual's ability to reproduce colour with a leading degree of accuracy."

Orders are close to being finalised with a number of London firms, with the first installs set for September.
