InfoTrends' wide-format study at Fespa

One of the things that attracted attention was the study conducted for Fespa by InfoTrends.

It was supported by the technology partner, Xaar. InfoTrends surveyed 150 printers from the EMEA region and the US and found that digital print accounted for over three-quarters of all wide-format output.

During a digital debate, according to the ‘evolution’ study, 57% of respondents "moved beyond price or made pricing a non-issue" during 2010, while 54% invested in new technology.

Of those printers interviewed, 52% said they had launched a new service, 46% said they had promoted or sold wide-format services "in a different way" and 45.5% claimed to be implementing green printing practices.
