Small business support programme

Inaugural Roland DG ‘Level Up Lab’ hailed a success

Davis: the event provided a great opportunity for all attendees

Abstract

Roland DG is to build on the success of last month’s inaugural ‘Level Up Lab’ educational workshop, which aimed to help small and micro businesses scale their enterprises, with a new event next year.

The free European training and support programme launched with seven business owners/creators from France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK visiting Roland DG’s creative centre in Barcelona at the end of October. The attendees took part in a series of workshops, product demonstrations and discussions with peers and Roland DG experts.

UK attendee Catherine Kay, founder of Katnipp Studios in Teesside, said: “I learnt so much. We got to see so many different printers and I can't wait to take what I have learned onboard to my small business.”

Roland DG EMEA marketing director & UK president Stephen Davis said: “The Level Up Lab is an opportunity to bring together small businesses, makers, creators and innovators to help them grow and scale their business, and unleash their creativity.”

He added that while the goal was to help and support the business owners, the Roland DG team was equally inspired.

“The event has provided a great opportunity for us to learn more about small business owners, their workflow and patterns of business, helping us to think more broadly about how we can support them, not just with their print processes, but to maximise their businesses and unique offerings.”

The next Level Up Lab is to take place in 2024.
