More than 15 finishing kit firms including Watkiss, Terry Cooper Services and Morgana will be exhibiting
at the show, with a focus on on-demand post-press applications.
Bryan Godwyn, joint managing director of Graphic Arts Equipment, said that on-demand binding was “a concept which is relevant to all modern print operations, regardless of how they put ink on paper”.
“By taking control of finishing in-house, the printer has already eliminated a time delay and clawed back lost revenue. But the latest automated systems bring further benefits through short-run capability, reductions in waste [and] operator flexibility,” he said.
Jo Watkiss, communications manager at Watkiss Automation, added that both digital and offset printers were expected to attend the show. She said: “Our focus is on profitability in finishing, which is often overlooked but a critical element.”
Other finishing specialists exhibiting will include Addressing & Mailing Solutions, Ashgate Automation, Autobond, BABS UK, Clinical Print Finishers, D&K, Datadene, Encore Machinery, Friedheim International, KAS Paper Systems, Pacer Systems, Simply Print Finishing and Wraps UK.
DPW runs from 16 to 18 October at Earl’s Court 2, London.
