Drytac is launching the latest version of its catalogue at Viscom, which promotes the firms one-stop shop laminating and finishing services. The company already offers clients a range of heatset and pressure-sensitive mounting adhesives and laminating films, ink-jet media, backing films and substrates.

Romec Print Solutions has boosted its booklet production capacity at its Swindon works by installing a custom-built Horizon StitchLiner system from Graphic Arts Equipment. The stitchliner provides collation, folding, saddlestitching and three-knife trimming through a centrally controlled unit. Since buying the kit, Romec claims it has tripled its hourly output from the bindery.

GBC Films Group Europe will be demonstrating some of its latest thermal laminating solutions for commercial on-demand and wide-format finishing at Digital Print World on 18-20 October in London. Attendees can visit GBC on stand 780 to view equipment and consumables for digital printing applications, including the new thermal OPP speciality film range.

Docklands-based digital printer dsicolourworks has installed a Morgana DocuMaster to speed up the finishing work output from its three Xerox iGen3s, two 2060s and a 6060. Dsicolourworks, which is part of the DSI Group, specialises in educational printing, such as prospectuses for universities.

Royal Mail has launched an initiative to support the customer publishing industry by offering a 15% discount on customer magazine mailing costs. The promotion is designed to encourage clients planning to publish a title to favour mailing, rather than "pick-up" titles. To qualify, companies must sign up by December and commit to at least two mail-outs before August 2006.

AB Graphic International launched its high-speed Vectra four-spindle turret rewinder at Labelexpo Europe last month. The kit has been designed to produce small rolls of labels at high-speed and includes closed loop tension control. The event also featured AB's Omega Ti 150 Label Converter, which has been designed to meet the needs of RFID and smart label applications.
