Impressive sales seal Creos Drupa

Creo has closed Drupa with impressive sales in both pre-press kit and consumables, on the back of a plethora launches.

Creo chief executive Amos Michelson said: "We have surpassed our pre-press kit sales targets and far exceeded our expectations for consumables orders and attach rates."

 

Although, UK visitors were lower than expected, Creo EMEA still saw cause for cheer, racking up sales in excess of 20m (Eur30m).

 

"One of the highlights for us was that we doubled our plate business in Europe and in the UK it was even higher," said Creo's  UK marketing and dealer manager Maria Machera.

 

Launches at the show included the Magnus CTP and new versions of Prinergy and Brisque workflows. Pioneering JDF development it also demonstrated the largest array of JDF options.

 

Its complete plate portfolio including the newly launched Clarus processless plates the waterless WL, suitable for DI presses, and the PL switchable polymer aluminium version  was also displayed for the first time.

 

Creo Complete Solutions, launched to aid the move towards CTP for Europe's "smaller" printers, was also highlighted.

 

The aim is to provide turnkey solutions via a combination of hardware, software, consumables, financing, training and business advice. "Our success at Drupa strengthens our confidence in our ability to achieve our growth objectives for this fiscal year," said Michelson.

 

Creo showed its first CTP device at Drupa 1995, since then it has installed 6,000 worldwide and expanded it's range from five to over 300.
