Ikea tops Bible for readership

Ikeas 2003 annual catalogue will reach a wider readership than the Bible as 110m copies are distributed.

The 300pp free catalogue is printed in 46 languages and distributed in 33 countries worldwide, including 13m copies in the UK. Printing is handled by Polestar in the UK and a German firm.

The first Ikea catalogue was distributed to 100,000 customers in 1951 when the Swedish company launched.
