IFS will show off its cloud-based Horizon iCE LiNK workflow management system working with new Horizon machinery at the IFS Finish + Bind 360 event next month.

IFS Finish + Bind 360, taking place at the finishing equipment supplier’s Hemel Hempstead showroom on 12-13 October, will feature the live demonstration of the creation of folded signatures and binding and inline trimming of perfect bound and PUR books.

Horizon’s latest series of machines, all connectable via the iCE LiNK system, will be used to demonstrate the software’s capabilities: the Horizon BQ-500 iCE binder will run in-line with an HT-300 iCE trimmer, with an AFV-566FKT iCE folder running alongside.

Eric Keane, managing director of IFS, said: “Finish + Bind will focus on the benefits and efficiencies of automation in print finsihing and binding, now further enhanced by Horizon’s iCE LiNK cloud-based workflow management system.

“[Attendees] will discover more about how it enables a modern and efficient bindery to deliver the most responsive print finishing production. Attendees and existing IFS and Horizon customers will also benefit from offers on the Horizon iCE LiNK IoT Basic, Automated, and Enterprise subscription models.”

IFS will also demonstrate the Foliant Taurus 530NG B2 laminator at the event by laminating book covers for binding.

Four demonstration sessions will be held over the two days, running at 10am and 4pm.
