2M Print has started to capitalise on the changing print market and produces personalised print and variable-data jobs. The Fastbind FotoMount M3 photobook maker from Ashgate Automation produces lay-flat binding using the Fastbind Mountinglift clamping system, and helps us take advantage of the opportunities presented by the fast-growing photobook market. The albums and photobooks all open at 180 degrees and provide completely flat printing spreads across the pages. The system can produce any book format, from 50x50mm up to 305x305mm, with an edge-to-edge panoramic view on each page, in a matter of minutes. The bound books have already been well received by top-quality photographers, who have realised how the lay-flat photobooks can enhance their work.
