Greenhouse Graphics has invested in an Agfa Anapurna H1650i LED to increase its production capacity and speed up its turnaround times.

The machine was installed at the company’s premises in Bramley, Hampshire in October and replaced an ageing Screen Truepress UV flatbed printer.

Greenhouse Graphics managing director Ian Crossley said: “Our new investment allows us much faster printing of posters, banners, wallcoverings, boxes, boards, etc, and enables the business to not only take on extra work but also deliver a more efficient service to our customers.

“The printer was purchased through inkjet specialists Josero who demonstrated an exceptional understanding of large-format machines and digital cutters. We were impressed with the speed and the low ink usage of the Agfa Anapurna H1650i LED.”

The 14-staff company said the installation went smoothly and that the machine has been in full production as expected following the three day installation and training process.

“This machine is the ideal choice for us, increasing the production capacity of our business whilst retaining a high quality end-product,” Crossley added.

The Agfa machine is running alongside a raft of other equipment at the business including a Komori Lithrone 429 H-UV B2 offset press, a Screen CTP system, a Zünd S3 M-1600 digital cutting and routing table, a Ricoh digital production printer, and Morgana numbering, folding, perforating and creasing machines.

With customers ranging from community magazines to large multinational PLC organisations, Greenhouse Graphics sees the growth areas of its business are in the large-format and creative design departments as well as online business.

The company was first established in 1993 as a digital artwork and pre-press business with the aim of providing a more sustainable print service than anything readily available in the market at the time.
