Agfa introduced the latest of its Sherpa digital proofers, the Sherpa 24m. Based on Epson technology, it features seven multi-density inks, with an additional black, aimed at offering greater efficiency, plus a light cyan and light magenta.
The package includes the Apogee Proofer RIP, Agfa ColorTune Pro Color software, quality management system and AgfaJet digital proofing base. It will be available from the end of this month, directly and through distributors such as Litho Supplies, at a "very competitive price".
Creo launched Integris Proofing, a standalone front-end linking ink-jet printers such as the Epson Stylus Pro 7600 and 9600 with Creos workflow and colour control. Creo said it would provide low-cost four-up and eight-up contone proofs.
Integris will launch in the UK at the end of the year. Pricing has yet to be finalised.
DuPont launched the DuPont CromaPro XP Inkjet Colour Proofing system. It can drive Epson and HP ink-jet printers. It includes X-Rites DTP 41UV spectrophotometer technology. It will be released in Europe early next year.
