The manufacturer said it has introduced the new machines, which are based on the drop-on-demand inkjet platform, to bolster the range of applications customers can offer and to help "discover new revenue streams".
The new additions consist of the Versamark VL6000, VL6200, VL4000 and VL42000 machines. They are designed to output variable data print applications such as transactional documents and direct mail.
Kodak's single engine VL6000 can print at speeds up 150m a minute at resolutions of 600x600 dpi. The VL6200 model is a dual engine system that can output at the same speed and resolution, as well as 2-up duplex operation.
The VL4000 and VL4200 machines can be used for the digital printing of newspapers. They both offer output speeds of 125m a minute and at resolutions of 600x360 dpi with 1-up duplex and 2-up duplex respectively.
Kevin Joyce, new worldwide vice president of sales and marketing for the company's Digital Printing Solutions group, said: "The demand for offset class digital output continues to rise and the opportunities for service providers to discover new revenue streams are strong now."
He added that by expanding the Versamark portfolio, the group was helping customers to "better serve the market and deliver flexible, quality output that sets them apart from the competition".
Four new models added to Kodak's Versamark series
Kodak has added a quartet of new models to its Versamark digital inkjet series of printers, including the VL6000, which is capable of print speeds of up to 150m a minute.
