The firm has bought four- and five-colour B1 Heidelberg presses along with an Acoro perfect binder and Prima Plus stitcher from Muller Martini. The press kit will go to Gateshead, while the bindery kit will be installed at Newcastle.
Work at Reed Design & Print was redirected to its sister firms Reed Packaging in Gateshead, Reed Clean-Pack in Newcastle and Reed Direct Mail in Sunderland. It is also farming clients work out in the interim to Frank Peters and Scorpio Print Finishing in Leeds.
Reed Print Group managing director Giles Sergant praised staff for the way they had dealt with events.
