Fedrigoni produces sixth environmental and safety report

Paper manufacturer and merchant Fedrigoni has published its sixth Environmental and Safety Report.

The report details the recycling of its production waste into the framework of its production process and outlines its environmental procedures.

It also describes the use of FSC-certified de-inked and recycled paper for the production of some of its paper collections.

In the last two years, Fedrigoni has earmarked substantial investments for co-generation plants that use gas turbines to produce electricity and thermal power.

The report also describes its policy on the use of methane gas, which gives off no hydrogen sulphide or sulphur dioxide.

More than 65% of all papers it produces are FSC Chain of Custody-certified, and Fedrigoni said it aims to reach 100% if enough raw material can be sourced on the market.
